On the backpacking trip with HikerWolf, we will explore the Blue City Jodhpur and the land of the Golden Fortress, Jaisalmer. What’s more, we enjoy camel rides and desert camping in the mighty Thar desert!

Itinerary

    01

    Trip Begins

    We meet early at Jodhpur station around 7 AM. Head towards Jaisalmer after breakfast. On our way, we will stop to explore the Jaisalmer War Museum. After lunch, we arrive at Sam Sand Dunes, the attraction of the Thar Desert,and check in to our royal camps. We have fun in the evening doing Camel Safari and Jeep Safari on the beautiful dunes. Spend the rest of the evening at the campsite enjoying Folk Dance and Cultural shows. Relish an authentic Rajasthani dinner. Night stay at the desert camp in Jaisalmer..

    02

    Kuldhara Village | Jaisalmer Sightseeing

    We wake up early to witness a beautiful sunrise. Leave the campsite for Jaisalmer city sightseeing after breakfast. On our way, we will visit Kuldhara Village, a very famous haunted village in Rajasthan. Have lunch the Rajasthani way at an authentic place. Some of the items on our plate can be Dal Bati Churma, Gatte ki sabzi, and Mohan Thaal among others. Later we will visit Jaisalmer Fort, Gadisar Lake, Bada Bagh, Patwon ki Haveli, and Vyas Chattri. If you didn’t know, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was shot in Bada Bagh Night stay at Jaisalmer..

    03

    Jodhpur Visit

    Post Breakfast we proceed to Jodhpur in the morning. On arrival, we will visit the famous Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India. We will also visit Umaid Bhawan and Jaswant Thada. If time permits we will also see Mandore Garden. Stay in Jodhpur.

    04

    Backpack trip ends

    We check out from the hotel at around 10 AM after breakfast. Our backpack trip ends here. You can either head back to your home town; the station and airport are just 15 minutes away from our hotel. Or you can explore nearby places like Ghanta Ghar and enjoy shopping in the markets like Mochi MarketClock MarketHaji Market, etc. You can purchase spices, handicrafts, fabrics, Jodhpuri jutis, and other beautiful souvenirs from here. Depart from Jodhpur as per your convenience.
