ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrive in Srinagar:
- Meet The HikerWolf Lead at the Airport. You will be picked up from the airport. Arrival at Srinagar Airport, pick up around 1 pm. If there’s time, we’ll explore local sights in Srinagar and enjoy a Shikara ride. Spend the night at the hotel or houseboat.
Day 2: Srinagar to Kargil:
- After breakfast, we’ll depart for Kargil. On the way, we’ll stop by Sonamarg and pass through Zojila pass to reach Drass Village, known as the second coldest inhabited place globally. Along the route, you’ll see the impressive Kargil war memorial and catch sight of the renowned Tiger and Tololing peaks from the Vijay war memorial hall site. We’ll arrive in Kargil by evening and spend the night there.
Day 3: Kargil to Aryan Valley:
- After breakfast, we’ll head to the Aryan Valley, stopping at Mulbek, Giant Living Buddha Sculpture. Experience the unique culture and lifestyle of the Aryan valley’s inhabitants, and enjoy the rest of the day soaking in its beauty. Overnight stay in Aryan Valley.
Day 4: Aryan Valley to Leh | Lamayuru Monastery, Magnetic Hill, etc:
- After breakfast, we’ll go to Leh, visiting Lamayuru Monastery on the way. In Leh, we’ll see the Zanskar and Indus River meeting point, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Shri Pathar Sahib, and the Hall of Fame museum. If there’s time, we’ll also check out Shanti Stupa and do some shopping in Leh Market. We’ll stay overnight in Leh.
Day 5: Leh to Nubra Valley| Diskit Village, Camel Safari:
- After breakfast, leave the hotel and drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla. Arrive in Hunder by afternoon. Enjoy lunch at the camp and spend the day exploring Deskit village. Experience a camel safari in the dunes of Deskit and Hunder villages. Stay overnight in Nubra Valley. make our way across the Khardung La Pass, situated at 18,380ft, the world’s highest motorable road, to enter the mystic Nubra Valley.
Day 6: Nubra Valley to Pangong| Deskit Monastery
- After breakfast, we’ll go to Deskit Monastery to enjoy the stunning view of Nubra Valley. Then, we’ll drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok and spend the night there.
Day 7: Pangong Lake to Leh | Changla Pass, Hemis Monastery:
- Morning’s here! Wake up to the early sunrise, grab breakfast, and begin your drive to Leh. Along the way, stop by Changla Pass and visit Ladakh’s renowned monasteries like Hemis Monastery, Shey Monastery, and Thiksey Monastery. Check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Departure From Leh:
- Time to fly back home from Leh! We wrap up our trip around noon, head to the airport, and catch our flight back home, carrying cherished memories from our Ladakh adventure. Trip concludes with happy memories!
