Short Itinerary

Day 0: Mumbai to Bhatkal

We'll kick off our journey from Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) at the early hour of 03:20 AM aboard the Matsyagandha Express. We'll have quick stops at Thane and Panvel before continuing our overnight journey southward.

 

Day 1: Discover Murudeshwar

Upon arriving in Bhatkal early in the morning, we'll check into a nearby hotel to freshen up and get ready for the day. Our first major stop will be the awe-inspiring Murudeshwar Temple. After soaking in some spiritual vibes, we'll head to the serene Apsarakonda Waterfalls, wander through the Mangroves Park, and relax at Eco Beach. We'll wrap up our day with a peaceful stay near Jog Falls.

Day 2: Jog Falls and Beyond

We'll start the day with the breathtaking sight of Jog Falls. Post the falls, we'll explore the historical Mirjan Fort in the afternoon. If our schedule allows, we'll check out some local beaches and cafés to unwind. In the evening, it's back on the train at Kumta station on the Matsyagandha Express.

Day 3: Return to Mumbai

Reach home with lots of memories and new friends.

Murdeshwar

Surrounded by the Arabian Sea on three sides, the Murudeshwara Temple is popular for its world's second-largest statue of Lord Shiva. Whoever visits the temple experiences peace and calm as the positivity around them purifies their soul.

Yana cave

Standing tall amidst the gurgling sound of water falling in layers and the lush greenery alongside, the waterfall is simply magical. Surrounded by greenery, this is a very pleasant place to spend an afternoon soaking yourself in the cold waters of the natural Jacuzzi formed at bottom of the falls

Jog Falls

Jog Falls, located in Karnataka, India, is one of the highest waterfalls in Asia, where the Sharavathi River plunges from a height of 253 meters. This majestic waterfall is renowned for its scenic beauty and the lush, verdant surroundings that enhance its splendor.

From Konkani thalis to Udupi-style sambar and dosa, from Sikkimese momos to North Indian tandoori chicken, there is a wide variety of food to indulge in. Gokarna's cuisine is a wonderful blend of the hot, spicy seafood that is relished in this part of India and For vegetarians, there are satvik vegetarian delicacies as you would find in a temple town.
