The magnificent fort of Rajmachi was built by the Satavahanas and was later under the reign of Shivaji Maharaj. It is located about 13 km from the picturesque hill station of Khandala.
The Rajmachi fort consists of two Balekillas [Shrivardhan and Manaranjan] which are the main attraction points here. The best season to visit Rajmachi and enjoy the Rajmachi trek is the monsoon and the winter season. Nature is at its best during this time and one can see amazing waterfalls and lush green forests when passing through the Rajmachi trek.
